Answers to commonly asked questions and technical information about Weald services.
1) I would like to configure my e-mail software to work with Wealdnet POP3. What information do I need ?
You will need the following information:
Incoming (POP3/IMAP) mail server: pop3.wealdnet.co.uk
Outgoing (SMTP) mail server: smtp.wealdnet.co.uk
You obviously need your username and password as assigned by our helpdesk. Our outbound SMTP server is for Wealdnet customers and only supports plaintext SMTP authentication. Please ensure your e-mail client is configured to use SMTP authentication using the same credentials as your incoming mail.
2) I don't want to use an e-mail client, have you got something I can use on the move ?
Yes, you can use our Webmail service. This is available by browsing to:
http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail
Obviously replace yourdomain with your domain name.
3) I would like to make changes to my Iwall configuration, how do I access the Web Console ?
Simply type: https://youriwallip:444/
Replace youriwallip with the Internal/External IP address of your Iwall. Enter your username and password.
4) We use Wealdnet Defence, how do we access our Web console and whitelist a user or add a domain disclaimer ?
In your web browser type: https://spam.yourdomain.com:28443/
Enter your username and password and select the required action on the left hand menu bar. Remember that you need to create the disclaimer twice, once for HTML messages and once for Plain test messages.
5) How can we change the Wealdnet Defence Console password ?
Login to the console as described above, click on the "change password" link on the top of the page. Simple as that.
6) I would like to register a new domain name. Where is the best place to check to see if it is available ?
Click on the link below to use the Wealdnet Whois service. This will allow you to search for most top level domain names including .com,.co.uk,.org,.net etc. If the search returns no hits then the chances are that the domain is available. Simply contact us to purchase this domain straight away.

7) I am configuring my router/firewall/server, I need to know what my Internet DNS servers are, how do I find out ?
Commonly these are configured automatically by your ISP when you connect. Below is a list of Weald's preferred ISP's DNS servers:
Demon Internet: 158.152.1.43 & 158.152.1.58
Zen Internet: 212.23.3.100 & 212.23.6.100
BT Internet: 194.72.6.57 & 194.73.82.242 (these are subject to change)
Easynet: 195.40.1.250 & 195.40.0.250
Mistral Internet: 195.184.228.6 & 195.184.228.7
